Located at 21211 Hawthorne Blvd Spc d unit 110, Torrance, CA 90503, Marugame Udon operates as a noodle shop serving Torrance in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

These businesses tend to have short hours built around lunch and early dinner rather than late-night service, so checking the listed hours before heading out in Torrance saves a wasted trip. Seating is often limited or first-come, and many locations lean toward takeout or delivery rather than dining in. Prices are generally lower than full-service restaurants in the same category, which makes this group a reliable option for a fast, inexpensive meal across California. Portions can be smaller at food-court counters than at a stand-alone restaurant, so ordering two items is common for a full meal. Many of these businesses are independently owned even inside a shared food hall, so hours, accepted payment methods and whether a counter takes online orders can differ from stall to stall within the same building.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 am–9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Marugame Udon at (424) 250-3090; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is marugameudon.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 499 reviews, which is a strong result for a noodle shop in Torrance and suggests consistent service.

Torrance is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Torrance is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Been craving Udon for a month, being on a road trip thru North & South Carolina. We got a large #1 with an extra soft boiled. It was great. Some of the best Udon I've ever had & I've been eating udon for more than 70 years. The calamansi drink was very refreshing.

Got the Bolognese bowl of Udon and hit it up with green onions and tempura crumbs, they didn't have some tempura options but I made do with shrimp and sweet potato. Tempura was standard but solid, but the Bolognese was amazing. Thick and creamy, peppery, the cheese melted around the noodles...and the ground beef was well seasoned. And of course, one perfectly runny onsen egg. Prices are fair, especially if you come for a standard bowl of straight up Udon noodles in broth, and the quality is excellent. The staff were also friendly, attentive and helpful. It is a shame I live a distance away from here, cause I'd come here whenever I got an itch for Udon. Easy recommendation for anyone curious.

We ended up here by accident after seeing the very long wait at Din Tai Fung across from Del Amo Mall in Torrance, and honestly, it turned out to be a solid casual dinner option. If you’ve never been to Marugame Udon before, just know this is NOT a traditional sit-down restaurant. It’s more of a fast-casual cafeteria-style concept, almost like a Japanese Chipotle for udon noodles. You walk through the line while watching the staff make fresh noodles in front of you, choose your broth and toppings, pay at the counter, grab utensils yourself, and seat yourself. At the end, you also return and separate your trays, bowls, chopsticks, and trash into designated areas. The process moves quickly. Even though there was a constant line and the restaurant stayed packed the entire time we were there, we had our food within about five minutes. I ordered a tomato-based vegan udon that came with simple vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, and carrots. My husband added egg to his bowl, and my daughter ordered a creamy udon with egg and non-vegetarian broth. The food itself is simple, comforting, and reasonably priced. Dinner for three was around $45, which feels very affordable for LA. The big

On my way to an appointment this place caught my eye. I was famished so I decided to stop in. It was my first time here so I went with their most popular bowl, the Nikutama, loaded with braised beef, tenkasu, green onions, and a soft onsen egg. The noodles are thick, chewy, and clearly made fresh. Broth is clean and dashi-forward. Solid bowl. I also got a spam musubi. It was fine, but the spam-to-rice ratio was not enough in my option. The tempura add-on bar is genuinely a nice touch. Crab meat, cheese, sausage, gyoza, pumpkin, sweet potato, zucchini, potato croquette, chicken katsu, all ranging from about $1.99 to $4.99 per item. Lots of ways to build out your bowl. Service was fast and friendly, Japanese pop in the background, low-key atmosphere. It’s a good spot. Not destination dining, but absolutely worth a stop if you’re nearby and want something warm and fresh.

The atmosphere, seating outside and inside plenty of seating, decor is basic, the tables in side were sticky check the photos. The ordering was like chipotle/subway they build your bowl of noodles in front of you and you pick your own tempura/katsu then you pay. The broth for their no. 1 was too sweet for me I had to pay for a different broth that was more savory which was better. The udon was overdone and would break and splash broth all around. I got a shrimp tempura it was well executed. Over all a lack luster experience.
